Reading and dramatizing Jane Austen makes her even funnier and more revealing. Jocelyn and Terry MacTavish have presented Jane Austen readings in Dunedin at the Globe Theatre, the Public Art Gallery, and the Savoy restaurant, on such topics as “Women Behaving Badly in Jane Austen,” “Jane Austen and Fashion,” and “Women Chasing Men in Jane Austen.” In 2014, they will present at the Globe “Lady Susan,” a dramatization created by Broadway producer Robert Moss, and premiered in 2012 to a full and appreciative house at the Pierpont Morgan Library, New York.
In 2005, Jocelyn and Terry performed “Vita and Virginia,” by Eileen Atkins, at the Globe.
